A pyrrhic victory...

An ultimately stealthy if major propaganda coup for the US, it is, after all, but one individual's killing - even if, admittedly, a highly charismatic and inspirational one at that. Yet, today's apparent denouement is but a mere commercial break in the Empire's neo-colonial drama, which seems as far away as ever of bringing the corporate, military industrial complex's occupation to an end.

Lest we forget the question of (Pakistan's) "national sovereignty" – which has, yet again in this instance, seemingly been trampled on by this arcane instrument for world domination: the US’s global network of military bases and its NATO proxy!

Lest we forget the real question (and subject!) of the future global revolution: the neoliberal, capitalist, two-stroke (boom-bust), Permanent War Economy engine...

Lest we’ll have to remember, before too long, how this "international community" of corporate stooges (sorry, I meant to say "states") had to find some other TARGET for their permanent wars (on [the] "Terror" caused by someone, somewhere accidentally uttering: "the Emperor's naked"!)

So much for the neocon philosophy... the main reason for this Osama's creation! Much as his hate may have been so misguided, so cultist and retrograde in the eyes of those privileged enough to benefit from or assist the spoliation of their countries, it had been this tiny elite's “subaltern” others' only retribution, the only hope for those most disenfranchised, blinded in their wishful-thinking lust for vengeance...

Yet, hope dies last as it is but the first to rise again. The Hope of those who lived to fight another day amongst the scores of dead cast by a brutal Empire... For what it's worth today, it still doesn't give the licence for those shameful, primitive, hysterical, ideologically-modified, stupefying cries of joy in Times Square...
