More on the Israeli War Crimes in Gaza
At least twentyfive Israeli soldiers have now given evidence showing that war crimes were committed in Gaza, during its January offensive. Yet, Israel is a nuclear power whose regional military supremacy, international undue influence and US unwavering support ensures that the eventuality of there ever being a single Israeli general or politician indicted for these crimes remains highly unlikely. Instead, it will continue to ignore calls for an end to its illegal annexation of Palestinian territories while pretending that all such supposedly "anonymous claims" are but mere instances of "anti-semitism"!http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/14_07_09_breaking_the_silence.pdf

It is not anti-semitic to criticise Isreal for what happened in Gaza. I also think that Isreal's behaviour in that instance was reprehensible. However, I think that when people use the term Zionism/Zionist as a term of abuse, this is anti-semitic. People who believe in the Isreali state's right to exist and self-determine it's own future are only asking for the same rights as the Kurds and/or Palistinians. The Jews deserve the same right to a nation as any other ethnic group. The situation in Isreal is very unfortunate - I have great sympathy with the Palistinians and the Jewish people. The west, eastern europe and the arabs have treated them both appallingly. They are both unfortunate pawns in a bigger battle.
I fully agree with you.
